Live today — the moment a claim surfaces anywhere in the chain, six independent signals weigh it: cross-source corroboration, the fact-check record, spread velocity, prior-narrative correlation, known manipulation patterns, and an AI read. Before the broadcast — and usually before the write-up.
Physical observations — separate from claims.
Layer model: L1 narrative (news/social/radio transcripts), L2 place
(gazetteer borders, waters, camps), L3 instruments (sensors). USGS seismic,
GDACS disaster, and OpenSky airspace-density aggregates are live L3 sources.
NASA FIRMS land thermal runs when FIRMS_MAP_KEY is configured;
without the key the connector reports disabled, never mocked as live.
Airspace cells store counts only — never aircraft identities. These products
do not cover vessels or EEZ/offshore FIRMS until a licensed AIS aggregate
provider is wired. Radio is L1 audio with optional studio coordinates for
map pins. Events and risks only — never individuals.
